Biogeographic Distribution
Placida dendritica occurs worldwide ranging from warm-temperate to boreal coastal waters (Trowbridge, 1997). This species has been documented extensively in Europe and in the Mediterranean (Trowbridge, 1992), on both sides of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans (Clark. 1975), in South Africa, Japan, Australia and New Zealand (Gosliner, 1987).
